Hey, you most likely have on board video that shares the ram. 1024-960=64MB Is your video 64MB.......That is the most likely explanation and it is perfectly fine..........

Hi, no if you have a video card and its enabled, the memory will not be affected. Be sure the ATI is enabled and if it is download this..

http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

run cpz and go to the speed tab. You can see what is in what slot and how much it reads.........post back

Hey, where are you seeing the ram at 960mb?

Run dxdiag --start>run>dxdiag......what does it say there?
Watch the screen when pc boots......what does it say there?
You can also check task manager-->performance>physical memory

it says 958MB it wont show up the full ram it says they are their for the total of 1024 but reads 960mb's and how i go this is right click on my computer and got to properties and thats where i get my ram readings and the one u told me to type in run shows 958mb's witch is less then 960 so where is this ram being used 64mb's is missing?? and they are both new so does my processor need ram --does windows?? or my motherboard?? i dunno u tell me lmao its gotta be somewhere?
