talked to Batle707 2 days agao and as far as both him and i know it has not been sold we are waiting for our new server to be ready. It is susposed to be online either today or tommoro.

Will old accounts be transfered or will we have to sign backup? Also provide a link to the new site.

just talked to contemptx he is working on it as we speak trying to get everything working the site will be the same as will the accounts from what i understand as of now. i am working on geting the irc back up to keep everyone informed. I will post any news as it becomes advail to me

hey socket, its as7r080y here, whats happening with the site i just got back from holidays and someone told me the site has been down for over a week now, looks like some weird sql errors or something when trying to access the site via the domain name www.nzbsrus.com
the irc channel is down also, so i dont know what to do... do you have any updates on this is there a different address, please let me and other fellow members know whats going on a members email would be good also if you can organise that to be sent around telling us whats going on, i hear a lot of rumours are starting to make their rounds.

Contemptx is working on it when the server crashed repedatly it messed up the sql he is rebuilding the db's manually right now last i talked to him yesterday. he had the latest backup running on a diffrent server and was fixing the errors. The irc was on the same server we are moving it to a diffrent server today. As soon as we get the site up i will update this thread or do a mass e-mail.
To put the rumors to rest
1. The site was not sold
2. The site is comming back
3. The site is not going to be sold
4. Someone found a thread from over a year agao when the site was put up for sale for value reasons. Nothing More then that. Other then that If you have a question about the site and its condition post here and i will be happy to answer.

ok the irc is back up irc.nzbsrus.com
the site is online but not enabled at this point were working on the db still. But your more then welcome to irc and chill and chat. site should be fully active by sat night. Crosses fingers.
At this point all user info is safe and we have everything right now its just the table that holds the nzbs were trying to fix.
if you have any questions just let me know i will be happy to answer them

Expierencing the same problems, at least now everyone knows that the site is there, everyone will just have to be patient until all the bugs are gone.

Update for 10-13-07
The site is almost reday to be reopened. We are still repairing the nzb database. Once that is done hopefully in the next couple of hours we will be ready to go. Will post a update when something changes.

down again... and again... and again... nzbsmatrix is a superior site, if only because they are never down like this... but boy do I wish a few things were different on that site.
1. No 20 day limit, instead a 10 nzb cap
2. eliminate 4 clicks (vs. nzbsrus 2) to execute a nzb (on basic acct)
3. Show file size on main page without click
4. screw artwork, add a direct imdb rating

IMO, merlins portal is a horrible design and much worse than an minor qualms I have with nzbmatrix. you start off in a forum (confusing), the individual nzb boxes take up way too much real estate, and the category selection is a rat's nest with too many sub categories. I presume I'm not the only one that thinks so as evidenced by the traffic differences between the two sites.
