Yeah, thats a pretty good deal, although the Quad core in overkill since it comes with a pretty bad video card. Is this for gaming?

it's not a good deal in my eyes, the Quad core CPU is unnecessary, and the 8500GT video card is very weak, it'll leave you disappointed.
Go with something that has a Core 2 Duo (E6550, E6650, E6750) and a powerful Graphics card.

Powerful:
Geforce 8600GTS, 8800GTS, 8800GTX, 8800GTX, 8800 Ultra
GeForce 7600GT, 7800GT, 7800GTX, 7900GT, 7900GTX, 7950GT, 7950GX2
Radeon HD2600XT, HD2900XT
Radeon X1900GT, X1950 Pro, X1950XT, X1950XT-X

The 8500GT is no good for gaming. Like people said, get a dual Core (E6750) which will save you approximately $100 over the Q6600 and get a better video card.
Preferably a 8800 series or HD2900 series if you can afford them.
-8800GTS 320MB
-8800GTS 640MB
-800GTX

-HD2900PRO
-HD2900XT

Or a High End DX9 Card
-X1900 Series from ATI
-7900 Series From Nvidia

And by the way get DDR2-800 (PC 6400) NOT the DDR2-667 that you have currently listed.

I just thought it was a good deal beacuse I believe that 1300 AUS is about 700-800USD? Correct? I really like the quad core, but it depends on what you're using it for.

well, $Au 1399, is about $US 1200.. i think i am going to decide to keep the quad core, because you cant go wrong with more cpu speed, and pay the difference on a better graphics card. probz one of the ones stated above that were recommended

Indeed, $1200US is a lot to pay for a PC with only an 8500GT. The quad core CPU's good, but up the graphics.

if ur going to get the Q6600 make sure that it's the G0 stepping over a earlier stepping. this can be acquired here
http://clubit.com/product_detail.cfm?itemno=A1938460
over newegg cuz there its not guaranteed to be G0 which is a better overclocker
