i already know how to do this with my PC, because it has a stereo input jack. however, our sony vaio notebook only has a microphone jack as its only audio input, which is in mono.

how can i connect my home stereo receiver out to the sony vaio notebook so i can record in stereo? is there a sound card upgrade or usb adapter or anything else that can help? thanks!
