I was able to back up all of the disc with anydvd and nero except for disc 5. I get the error on any dvd ripper as File I03vts_01_4.vob 871755776 and the error just using Nero Recode2 at 48% as: Faile to read File.. Disc error(cyclic redun check).. Any ideas on why I am getting these error only on disc 5? Thanks, Paul

Sounds like there a bad spot on this disc - may be a bad press.
Try cleaning off the disc with something non abrasive in a non circular motion.
If you have another drive to try ripping from - try that one - one re better at ripping these bad spots than others.

Also try ripping w/ DVDFab HD Decrypter - it's a little better ripper imho for errors like this.
