A PC based game can't be converted as easily as you might think without the original source code of the game and dev kit.

no, i know it won't be easy, but there's an xbox version of mugen that can have up to 400 characters, & i heard there's a psp version, but the psp version has problems. iv'e searched the internet & could not find anything. i guess i'll keep searching. juist because it's difficult, doesn't make it impossible.

Well to my knowledge mugen is out for ps3 aswell as the xbox. I know that you can use it aslong as you have linux installed on the ps3 and I recently found something to install linux onto my ps2... but yea idk how far thatd get me.

Well i'm not going to try it cause I don't think i'd know what to do... I doubt it's as simple as popping in a cd with mugen into a ps2 that has linux installed to it... Yea, I'd help out for sure though.

I f you put a ps2 game in a pc you can see on the info on the disc. Here is the idea. Get a copy of Capcom vs Marvel 2 or higer for Ps2. Copy all of its info to your hard drive. Compare your mugen to it side by side. Then just fill in the blanks. As long as you still have the boot format from the Capcom vs Marvel you should be able to over lap it with the mugen info. It will not be easy but it can be done. Anything can!!!!!

sounds like a great idea, but i think i gave up on it for ps2. now i'm trying to get it to work on the old xbox. it's been done before, but i'm trying to get it to boot off of a disc, cause i only have the original hard drive. i got it to load, but it stays stuck on the now loading screen. any help on this would be appreciated!

Thats pretty cool, whatabout the DreamCast?
I would buy an old Xbox if I knew how to transfer mugen into the HD and if I didn't have to buy too many extra tools to do so. Only thing is I play joystick and I only have it for the ps2 and a DC converter... they prob have ps2 to xbox control converters.

they prob have ps2 to xbox control converters. they do, i have one & it works great! only for the original ps2 controller. the wireless doesn't respond well. i also found out that you can use a ps2/pc controller converter on ps3.
but back on subject, check out on youtube, people can get xmugen to work on xbox, but their xboxs have a larger hd, i have the original hd, & i don't want to buy a hd just for mugen, cause i got almost every emulator to work off of discs, mugen is probably my final challenge for the old xbox, then my new challenge would probably be mugen on ps3 or xbox 360, depending on which one i decide to get. (more than likely ps3) so yeah, xmugen on a disc would be great.

Most releases of mugen don't work... so far ONE is reported to work but it comes in at something like 5.5gigs.. and I wasn't going to be bothered downloading that much for an outdated 2d beat em up.
You need a larger hdd to fit mugen.. softmod and stock drive doesn't cut it... then you need to find one that actually works (i.e.. has been put together by somebody with a clue about linux)
