when i make a copy using shrink i seem unable to copy the copy ,i thought this was a media issue so i reduced output size to 4 gb but still no joy so i am wondering does shring protect the copy.incidently i have tried dvd decrypter to make an iso and also in file mode so obviously i am doing something wrong. thanks in advance guys

I can make a copy of a copy using RecordNowDX or Nero. Could be the media.

thanks for the speedy reply ive tried alcohol 120% Nero but not record now max + tried lots of media.iburn using Nero 6.0.0.15 because it suports my writer (optorite dd 0203) please somebody help me im pulling my hair out

Thats weird, have you tried just opening the disc in Windows explorer and draging the files to your HD? Thats what I do and it works fine.

cheers nucklehead ill give that a try.
ive just tried to copy using alcohol 120% but settint to ignore read errors and i wrote ontoa rw played on standalone and when i skipped through the chapters it went through all the chapters and finished so maybe i just have to ignore errors

You cannot decrypt a copy with a De-CSS program like shrink since there is no encryption on the disc. Do a straight disc-to-disc copy of right click and explore (copy/paste) and burn from directory.

Use Nero or CloneDVD and do a DVD to DVD copy like Oriphus said.

Shrink will re rip an un-encrypted back-up copy, you just need to click on open files and not open disc (browse to the VIDEO_TS folder and select the ifo) this has worked for me when dragging in explorer fails (cyclic error).
