Which mobo?

Hello all, still putting togeather my upgrade for this christmas, and I have been looking at two different motherboards, and cant decide which one to get.
I will be using with it:
Q6600 G0 @ 2.4Ghz (Will be over clocked to 3Ghz, maybe more)
nVidia 8950GX2 (when they're released, this november)
Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 800 pc6400 4-4-4-12 Ram
WD Rapotor X 150GB 10,000rpm HDD
Windows Vista Ultimate
Swift tech water cooling for processor, possibly gpu also
Ok, and here is the mobos I cant decide on:

I am leaning towards the last one, but I have a few questions. Since it is a DDR3 mobo, can I still use DDR2? I see its memory standard is pc6400, and then the other higher DDR3 kinds, can I still use the Crucial sticks with it?
Will I have to switch to Vista 64bit for it?
I think thats it, which one is should I pick for my setup?

Old though it is, the P5W DH Deluxe is still an excellent board, so I'd have no hesitation recommending it. As for the P5K3, I couldn't say. Reviews seem very positive, however. As for DDR3, the two are supposed to be backwards compatible, but of course I don't have a DDR3 board or memory to try that with!

ok, I was just worried (and still am) that if I buy the DDR3 board and DDR2 ram, and its not compatable then I will have to send either the mobo or the ram back for a refund, and buy something that is compatable.

You cannot use DDR2 in a DDR3 slot. The memory sticks have the indentation in two different places and are not backwards compatible. The 975X is hard to recommend since it's expensive, outperformed by the P35, outdated, and most likely not as good of an overclocker as the P35. The P35 are built with the Core 2 architecture in mind and also compatible according to Intel with 45nm process.
My suggestion get a P35 MOBO with DDR2 slots preferably ASUS, MSI, or Gigabyte.

Well I found a jackpot of motherboards that I was looking for last night on newegg, here:

I think I'll go with one of the P5K series motherboards but one big question: Since I will be getting the swift tech watercooling system, I am worried that the cpu block will not fit on the cpu due to the little copaciters around the socket. Heres a pic:
Do you think the block will fit on the cpu?

Which swiftech block, the apogee? That is a huge block, but I think it's designed to fit pretty much any board. Most Mobos these days have capacitors really close to the CPU.

I am just worried that the block wont fit because the capacitors will be to tall, and the block wont go on.

Thanks sam, I guess that's what I am going with then. I was doing some research on the web, and found some other forums with people with the p5k mobo, and the apogee in their signiture, so I guess people have got the apogee and the p5k working togeather...

what mobos would you recommend? I am looking for something from ASUS, and it has to have 3 PCI slots, and socket 775. I found the P5K to be my best bet, dont know if their are any others out there.

I've just had great experiance with ASUS mobos, and I like them because of their overclockability. I know gigabyte mobos are real good as well, but I prefer ASUS. I dont really have a good reason, I just do... Suggest what you want, I would like to know about all mobos that would be great for my upgrade.
