I have sucessfully copied 5 discs now without any problems.
You have AnyDVD enabled for the drive you are reading from. Start up Nero 6 Recode. Select the import DVD button and load a blank DVD.
Once it would not recognize the DVD being imported - message said "not valid DVD". But I played the DVD with WinDVD which worked fine, restarted Nero 6 Recode and the import and copy worked great.
I didn't record the timings but it seemed pretty quick to me.
Shrink and Clone work better then dvdxcopy express and Nero and, anydvd works great with clone but I have more choices with shrink on compression levels. Shrink is the best dvd builder and editor but clone and anydvd is the simple solution,
I use DVD Decryter and InstantCopy 8 (about $35 online).
I compared a full DVD squeeze(7+GB)in Nero 6 (nice interface) and IC 8, the differences in quality is startling. With IC 8 deleteing some VOB's (logos, trailers etc.), stipping out audio tracks and subtiltles, works flawlessly, as opposed to others who leave some silly image in it's place. The video quality that IC 8 produces is simply the best of the breed. I've even cut down IC 8's destination size to 4400, as there is no reason to push it to the limits of the disc (where most errors occur), as a few extra MB's don't affect it in the least.
urlybird are you having any problems with Nero not recognising the dvdr you are copying to.
I too has having a great time using AnyDVD then Nero Recode then to princo A grade media. Took about 3 hours to recode and burn to DVDr.
But now all of a sudden Nero recode does not recgonise the dvdr media, keeps popping out, and telling me to insert a dvdr or rw, media unknown.
I was originally using the original Recode, working good, then I updated to the newer released Recode, its got that burn direct to DVD which cuts the time in half. But now it bumbs out with read errors.
I then reverted to the older version, but I am still getting the unknown media.
