hi,
i recently downloaded and installed itunes,on setup it asked me the usual questions,do you want a desktop icon etc.
now when i click on this icon or the one in quick launch,the program doesnt just open it starts to install itself eveytime and takes an age gathering information.
can some one tell me where im going wrong please.
this is on a vista laptop.

are you clicking the link to start the program or the setup thing again?
but i wouldnt know.

not yet,ive been considering that but im waiting for orange to connect my braodband after moving(w$%k%^s)so im connecting throug my phone thats painfully slow.

i tried uninstalling and reinstalling.when i opend itunes directly from instalation menu it opend straight away.
but when i closed it and tried reopening from the new itunes icon,once again it stated"windows is configuering itunes"maybe its my settings.

Download the iTunes repair tool for vista (Google). I hope this helps. Let me know if it rid your problem.
