Ok, once upon a time i had an zen touch. wife bought ipod, had ipod for long time then it broke. i have lots of acc files i converted to mp3 to put on my old zen touch.

Problem....half of the songs will not transfer. they say they are mp3, they have a .mp3 extention, and they will play in media source in their new form but itunes (which i unistalled after the conversion process then reinstalled) won't even regonize they are there.

I used itunes to do the converting to mp3, with no changes in the default setting. i read that it have somthing to due with the ID3 tag. but none of the supposed ID3 converters will regonize they are even mp3 files to beginn with. the only program they will run on is creative meadisource. not itunes, media player. what is the deal.

I have tried moving them from my exernal to my laptop hdd, nothing works.

dell xps gen 2, update fireware and drivers for mediasource, Win XP SP2 media center
