CONKER live and reloaded

Hey all,
I ftp'd conker from my modded box to my pc, created the iso using Qwix.
Here's a couple scenarios:
I left everything in the folder before creating the iso, (languages and updates,) and burned it using imgburn to a dual layer dvd.
the game started but froze at the loading screen every time.
anyone get the game to work using a dvd+r dual layer?

scenario 2:
removed the dashupdate and update files along with the unneeded language folders, used qwix to create the iso, burned using imgburn to a regular dvd-r.
the thing is the game loads, but only to Conker's bad fur day.
can't get conker reloaded or anything else. anyone ever have this problem? any suggestions would be gladly appreciated.
