Syba SD-ATA133I non-RAID PCI IDE Controller Card

I attached the Syba SD-ATA133I non-RAID PCI IDE Controller card to my ASUS P5GZ-MX motherboard with Intel Celeron D 3.6GHz processor.I'm running WinXP Home Edition(SP2).I installed the correct driver(PnP680.sys)then connected my DVSKOREA DVD-ROM DSR1600H to the PCI card.
At start-up(after P5GZ-MX motherboard screen)I get Sil0680 ATA/133.then Press F3 to enter Configuration Utility.then Drive Number:1 DVSKOREADVD-ROM DSR1.If I press F3 I get sent round in circles.PRESS F1 to assign first(HDD)SET or F2 to remove first(HDD)SET.F1 leads to assign number:1 then Y/N.whatever I do it just repeats that cycle till I press ESC.Device manager indicates the card is working properly but does not detect the DVD-ROM.In BIOS>BOOT>BOOT DEVICE PRIORITY DVSKOREADVD-ROM DSR1600H is listed at number 3.According to the box this SD-ATA133I a non-RAID card.those are the drivers I installed but it keeps acting like a RAID card.please help me Obi-Wans,you're my last hope.
