I've been using bit comet for sometime now, but i've been reading that alot of users block bitcomet request - as i've noticed my connections aren't as good as they used to be. I have my ports forwarded and everything checks out ok. Im just thinking about switching to a different client. I've heard the bittorrent and utorrent are now operated by the mpaa and riaa. so what else is left?

utorrent was purchased by Bram Cohen who developed Bittorrent and is associated with the MPAA in some way but that was close to a year ago (the purchase) and any problems with it would have surfaced by now, He's not that stupid. Also, you can use utorrent 1.6, version 474 from before his purchase, just turn off auto update at options>preferences>general, that version works fine: http://www.filehippo.com/download_utorrent/?1258

So is it true then that torrent users block incoming bitcomet requests?
