Digital freeze up at end of DvD-R copies

I have noticed that a the Dvd copies I burned on my Pioneer A04 at 2x will Freeze and Stutter towards the the last 20-30 mi. of the movie. I have read that if I burn at 1x and get the Datasafe Whitetop dvd-r blanks, it will eliminate the problem but they are ONLY SOLD in THE UK. Does anyone know where ot buy them in the USA?

I read somewhere that That's Write discs work ok. I'm in the UK and haven't seen them here so I presume that they are in the US.
