you could try this torrent as a test of your download through uTorrent.
It is legal and free and almost always runs very well.
Just let it run for about 10-15 minutes, you don't need the whole thing,
but you can get it all if you want. Slackware 10.2 Torrent (dedicated servers)

The speeds you are getting now may be due to the torrents.
This is a good check for that.

I don't know much about Bitlord, never tested it.
I do hear that it is buggy.

how long to seed? A ratio of 1:1 is considered sufficient.
Then you are giving back what you got.
Bittorrent uses no central server, it depends on individuals like you to keep the torrents alive.

If you can do more, then its nice to have a buffer so your Ratio does not go bad if you run across one where there are no peers to upload to.

Not sure if you are seeing your overall ratio or a torrent's ratio.

To see the overall Ratio in uTorrent go to Help/Show Statistics....
This will bring up a small screen showing the Total amounts downloaded and uploaded (in Bs) and the Total Ratio.

I assume you are getting the yellow triangle with the ! as at uTorrent FAQ: Network Status Lights.
If you are seeing it all the time, then your uTorrent is not cleared through your router/software firewall.

I assume you never got a good result on the port test and that would mean something is blocking-either software firewall or router.

All I can say is to re-do the router guide at portforward and make sure you have it done right.
And re-check your firewall exception for uTorrent.

Find Utorrent in the Program Permissions list and click it to highlight it. McAfee does not allow you to determine exactly which ports Utorrent uses. So you've got a couple choices here. You can Grant Full Access, which allows all traffic in and out of your computer to this program. You should only use that option when Utorrent is acting as a server. You can Grant Outbound-Only Access which allows Utorrent to connect to the internet, but does not allow the internet to connect to Utorrent. The other choice is to prevent Utorrent from connecting to the internet by clicking the Block Access Option. All of these actions are provided in a list at the lower right of your screen. When you are done click the Ok button all the way back to the main menu.

what should i do??

Full access. (inbound & outbound)
Otherwise you will get the no incoming connections error.

The guide at portforward, while it has different names, does show that full access is to be granted.

Just to be sure it is not the torrents-try the Test if port is forwarded properly under Options/Speed Guide and/or test the port at Can You See Me.

If still showing closed, I am not sure what is going on.

I should have asked about the modem earlier.
There are guides for port forwarding it at portforward.
Unfortunately, there are 3 different versions listed, 536, 536v5 & 536v6.
This is the Portforwarding.com uTorrent & Routers page, where they are listed.

They are under Thomson-Alcatel. You can figure out which one is correct.

I do not know about the booster, but if you have the make and model, you can look for it on that page.

There may be something else here that I am not seeing.
The problem may be that having to go through both a router and modem involves something more.
I am not the best at routers.

You might want to start a new thread that has a better description of your problem as a forwarding through router and modem issue.
That might attract those here who have more knowledge about that area.

I would say use the "start a new thread button" in the P2P forum-
continuing on this one would just be confusing as your issue has changed greatly from the original.

The title could be something like "cant get utorrent through modem and router"

In the post list what you have done-as far as the portforward guides for the router, modem and firewall and that you are still not cleared through.
List the make and model/version of the router, modem and firewall.
