im downloading movies using azureus how do i get them on to a blank dvd keep getting a error message?

It depends on the type of file you've downloaded...there are many possibilities.

Right-click on the file and choose Properties.
Near the top of the General tab it should show type of file.

Use DVD flick to convert your avi files to a DVD compliant file.
