Just trying to find out some more info on unlocking my 6230b

I have read around and tried a few unlock codes for the my Nokia 6230b and have had no luck.. When I enter a code the phone doesn't appear to recognize the fact that I have just entered a code. It just stays up on the screen. Is this what happens when u enter the correct code? Or am I forgetting something.. I have followed all of the instructions that I am aware of.. My IMEI number is 355032000938948.. It is locked to the Cingular network and I got a new sim card for AT&T and they are being some chodes about giving me the unlock code since the phone is not showing as being registered to my account.. :( The messed up part is, the phone IS my phone and is supposed to be on the account! arrrghh.. Can anyone help?

1. Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
2. Press the UNDO option
3. You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
4. Enter the code given and then press (OK)
