Game copy plays intro,half loads then freezes.

Ho guys,had this problem for a while now.A copied game will play the intro then freeze half way thro loading.Some games will play ok but approx half wont work.I use decent media and dvd-r.I have emptied e:cache,made sure xbox is on proper date and time(ie:nov2,time,2007).I'm at my wits end as I am just wasting dvd after dvd.Can anyone supply the shining light.Thanks guys.
