Hi everyone, I am having problems with nero vision. I had been using it successfully for avi to dvd conversion and burning until recently. Anyway what I have found is that no matter what speed (1x 2x 4x 8x etc) I set "recording settings" on nerovision's burn options, the log always shows a 16x burn. In bothe the following cases, I had selected 4x.
[17:18:43] NeroVision Caching of files started
[17:18:43] NeroVision Caching of files completed
[17:18:43] NeroVision Burn process started at 16x (22,160 KB/s)

The media (optodisc r16) is hopeless at 16x but is fine at lower speeds. I have tried both my LG and LiteOn burners separately. I was using nero 7. I have just installed nero 8 on a fresh install of XP with the same result
[16:47:50] NeroVision DVD-Video files sorted
[16:47:58] NeroVision Caching of files started
[16:47:58] NeroVision Caching of files completed
[16:47:58] NeroVision Burn process started at 16x (22,160 KB/s)
[16:47:58] NeroVision Book Type automatically set to: DVD-ROM

I tried cloneDVD and convertXtoDVD , both did as they were told and burned good disks.

I also writing to hard drive and had nero express burn the DVD files at 4x and it did, so why doesn't nero vision?

Any ideas ?

I run into this unless I put the blank in the drive before starting Nero.
