hey everyone. okay so a few days ago my laptop dropped on my rug and also slightly hit a chair. the laptop turned off and the screen was a little open so i had close it back. then i noticed it would only turn back on when the battery was plugged in. i also noticed that the battery source looks loose now and i cant seem to tighten it i have a Dell Vostro 1500 laptop and got it about 3 months ago. The battery is at least 80% so when i pull out the plug, it automatically turns off. any suggestions/advice? thanks.

im fairly sure you damaged a circuit. Unfortunately most laptops(especially dells) come with integrated parts as far as power goes. does it still work with the AC adapter?

Sounds like you got a battery problem. It or internal parts in the laptop were damaged in the fall. Does the battery recharge? Yes there's an internal problem with the laptop something was knocked loose. No, battery could be damaged internally, beware it could pose a fire hazard! Either way if you didn't buy damage protection it will cost you some cash to have the problem fixed.

I know personally that if you need to replace any of the components in the Laptop its going to run you at the least around 550 to 600 dollars.
