Hi, I am trying to make a copy of my BMW Sat Nav DVD, this is my second replacement because of the kids and I don't want to spend another £150.00!. I've searched the threads here and my problem is not copying it, that works OK and all files go accross, (roxio creator 9 LE) on to a verbatim DVD+R DL, but the nav system wont read it!, what am I missing please!

i take it the sat nav disc is big? eg: like over 4.38gig? thats why the dual layer disc...

its most likely the dvd/sat nav player cant read dual layers?!?

i would booktype the +R to dvdrom usein imgburn to make it read like dvd-rom like original...

(get imgburn to make the image too, probably the best DL reader/writer out)

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

Hi, Sorry should have added the data will fit on a DVD+R, but the nav unit still won't read it. I've tried imgburn but it says it doesn't support the type of files I'm trying to copy. The files are a mixture of html files gifs and some files windows doesn't recognise.

Hi Rotary, I've got the hang of imgburn and now made a perfect copy, on a DVD+R Sony disc, the car won't read it!. All the copies up to now, including this one have the same symptoms: the screen in the car is dead sometimes showing what it should for a split second then off again, and also all copies are very slow to eject. Put the original back in, all perfect and ejects instantly. Any thoughts?
