Hi

New to this and seeking information. Have tried to download several files but they are labelled as "inactive" with a red arrow in the name section of Bit Torrent 6. Does this mean that they are dead and can never be downloaded?

Many thanks

BitTorrent 6.0 has the exact look of uTorrent, so anything about uTorrent would apply.

The red icons mean that there is no connection to the Tracker.
This could be due to the tracker/torrent or your client's connection.
uTorrent FAQ: Red Icons.

What does your Network Status show? uTorrent FAQ: Network Status.

You could also test your port by using the Options>Speed Guide.
There is a button to test if your port is forwarded properly.

If you are clear on that, then it would be the tracker/torrent and you would need to find another source.
If not, then you would need to clear BitTorrent through your software firewall and, if you have one, your router.

Hi & thanks for the info.

All is working on my Bit Torrent 6, networking green logo is on. Other torrents download at up to around 60KB/s

The ones that do not download have no active seeds or peers listed assuming that these are shown by those numbers for seeds & peers (active) not being in brackets.

How do I find an active source?

Many thanks

Roger
