Hiya all,

My uTorrent is superslow, all downloads are inactive most of the time. When checking the speedguide it indeed says that the port I am using is not open and forwarded correctly. So, I would need to portfortward, right? The problem arises when I cannot for the life of me get the porforwarding to work using any of the guides provided for other routers, which I have to use since there is no guide for Broadcom.

I have a built in Broadcom 802.11 on a HP Pavillion dv9000.

Is there really no way to get the port to work?

Help me please, I am such a newbie at this.

Try this. Go to start>run, type in cmd and select ok. In the black window you see, type in ipconfig/all and select enter. Make a note of the Default Gateway address and exit out. Type that address in IE and go and if that opens a login windw, try admin, admin or admin, password or admin, leave blank or admin, your ISP password as the username and password. If that lets you access your router, have a look around. Just a guess but worth a shot.
