hi guys i am new to this dvd burning stuff,i have vista and nero 8,where do i start? i havent a clue,is this the only program i need to copy dvd

if its a store bought DVD you need lots more than nero8 ,BTW theres been problems with nero8 we recommend using nero7 till the bugs are worked out of nero8

TO BACKUP STORE BOUGHT DVDs

freeware

1. dvdfab decrypter to rip dvd shrink to transcode(sometimes you will need to use FixVTS or VOB Blanker to clean the file before transcoding with dvd shrink) then nero, imgburn or dvd decrypter to burn.

2. ripit4me (not being used as much it got pulled by the man but still works)

ok i ditched nero 8 for imgburn ?
now have dvd shrink 3.2 and dvdfabhd decrypter. do i now have the basics? and if so how do i convert movies ive d loaded from places like mininova?
