At the moment I'm using Nero 6 with Bulkpaq dvd-r's, and Memorex cdrs. 2.6ghz P4 800fsb, 2x512 Corsair matched DDR 400mhz memory, Pioneer 117 DVD Reader.

The problem comes when I copy dvd-r's, just backing up data from hard drive. (I've tried at slowest speed too) It seems like its copied correctly, however when I put it into any dvd reader, it keeps spinning round, having probs reading it. Usually some data can be read, but I think the only data thats readable is in the middle of the cd (not start of finish).

I've also tried copying cd's, the problems are less however sometimes the cds are unreadable in some players, and only some of the time the data is unreadable.

Any idea of solutions to this? I've heard from a friend that I have to set pio to UDMA or something similar? Help ! :)

Thanks
Tim Wilson
