Whenever I download a torrent my pc freezes. This happens within 5 mins or even an hour or two. No blue screen, errors, etc. The pc just freezes and I have to reboot.
I have downloaded torrents for a long time now with no problems. I recently upgraded my PC. New Ram, cpu, and motherboard. Since then I have had these problems.
I have tried using several different torrent programs, but the freezing continues with all of them. So I am sure it's not the acutal program that is the problem.
Nothing else involving my network/internet connection causes freezing. Transfering files, playing games, downloading files, etc.
The only software difference I can think of between when my torrents were working and now is that I upgraded from Windows XP SP1 to SP2.
Update drivers for your network card. Also, if your running service pack 2 then download the Lvl Lord patch and open the max no of connections to about 50.
