hi guys im new here, but I also need help. i been reading previous posts and maybe you can help. i'll do my best to explain this first my specs.

CPU: Pentium 4 HT | Graphics Card: Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 8600 GTS
(VGA GIGABYTE GV-NX86S256H 8600GTS R)

Motherboard: ASUS P5n-e SLI. | RAM: Crucial 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Both Black Slots

Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W Power Supply

Windows XP SP2: 1280x1024 resolution

I noticed before i was freezing and getting BSOD frequently..i solved that problem by getting a better power supply and switching my ram from the yellow slots to the black slots..there are 4 slots total..2yellow,2black

then i noticed that the freezing stop but some problems still remain..when im playing a game i noticed that my graphics isnt up to par..take a look here..

this is a close up of a logo on a game called 9dragons..notice that the words look pixelated..thats not right

also when i play 9dragons for like 15 minutes, i get artifacts and sometimes in game freezing. its disturbing
sometimes i notice random slowdowns...like when im playing it will slowdown for like 4 seconds then back to normal..

is there anything i can do to fix this maybe a bios tweak.. or a configuration done wrong.

oh by the way motherboard bios is updated to latest version.
well thats all for now...please save me

Try using RivaTuner and setting the 8600GTS fan speed to 100% when playing a game. If you were getting the BSOD with the RAM in the yellow slots, it could also be a RAM problem or a Motherboard problem. Test the RAM with Memtest86.

The problem may be due to damaged components due to you using a Rosewill power supply (absolute garbage as you may have noticed). The artifacts are cause for concern, but the pixelated text just means you need to enable anti-aliasing in your graphics control panel.

Thermaltake Purepower RX W0144RU ATX12V / EPS12V 600W Power Supply

newegg said it was the best, people said that thermaltake was the best so i bought it without hesitation and not only did it fit well but it runs power well, its silent, and it looks cool!

Yeah the Purepowers are OK. I'd never dream about using one for a 600W load, but for most gaming PCs they're fine (a high end gaming PC uses no more than 300W at full load)
