Thanks ..asus a7v-133 i went to the site spent half an hour & cant find what i should get so i can get the sound working

i went to the site & i think the audio driver is 140a but i dont know how to install or where it goes it dosent have an install wizard ...thanks

you download that file into a folder & unzip it into that folder, then in device manager goto that device that is not working, do update driver & direct it to that folder. that is an old file as via has newer updates for your motherboard as in audio, chipset & agp.

thanks dude for the info ,i tried doing that but i either downloaded the wrong file the for that or im doing it wrong ..would it work if i just bought a new sound card & installed it or will i still run into the same problem...thanks

disable the onboard card in the bios then install pci sound card
