R4 problems (no cartridge in slot)

Recently I have been having some problems with my R4.

Sometimes when I switch on my DS with the R4 in it it would say that there is no cartridge in slot. Only after taking it the R4 and reinserting it multiple times will the DS finally detect it.

Furthermore, sometimes when I am playing a game the whole thing will freeze halfway and I will have to reset the whole DS.

Is this the infamous TF slot problem I have been reading about? Is the problem with the TF or with the R4 cartridge? Does anyone know?

I had that problem.

Just stick like a piece of paper on the cover of the R4. Or what I did was I cut out a piece of the sticky side on a Post-It and just stuck it on there. This will push the cartridge to make more contact with the DS.
