can you please tell me the differance with The Box and The Box MMDS?
I have The Box with ntl MMDS, and its works but what is the differance with the new MMDS The Box?
I dont get it?

It has a DVB-T tuner to allow it to work with Ch**us MMDS. N** MMDS uses a DVB-C variant so that is why the box works on it.

was wondering the differance, so really if you have ntl MMDS there is no differance at all...the older box is ok

HELP HELP !!!! HI ALL I HAVE JUST GOT A STAIRVIEW THE BOX-T (DVB-T) I LIVE IN KINSEALY CO.DUBLIN AND HAVE MMDS NTL I HAVE DONE A AUTO SEARCH AND I GET ZERO CHANNELS. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS THE RIGHT BOX FOR DIGITAL NTL MMDS AND IF SO HOW DO I GET THE ALL CHANNELS ???

You got the wrong box as stated above an ordinary DVB-C version of "The Box" or any other DVB-C box will work on N** MMDS.

I HAD THE OTHER STAIRVIEW BOX WHICH I GAVE TO MY DAD HE HAS NORMAL CABLE NTL (AND HE GETS ALL THE CHANNELS) I TRIED THAT EARLIER AND I GOT AROUND 30 CHANNEL MOST OF WHICH I HAVE ALREADY I AM LOOKING TO GET THE SPORTS AND MOVIES. HAVE YOU ANY TIPS I CAN TRY WITH THAT BOX ???

Can you drop the capslock please. Is the other box a Starview 1 or is it called "The Box", which is a Starview 2?

sorry mate. Whats written on the packaging is The Box(this is the one I got 30 channels on) and the other one says The Box-T. I thought they were maufactured by Starview.

They all are the Starview, The Box and the Box T. The Starview and The Box will work on N** MMDS, the Box T is only for Ch**us MMDS. Get the Box back and I will tell you how to get all the channels available to you.

You need to do a factory reset. Then turn the box off from the back switch for a minute. Turn it back on and follow the installation on screen guide, select N** symbol rate 6887, then autoscan. Any problems just shout.

Just plugged in 'The Box'(DVB-C)and I got 50+ channels including Sky Sports 1 & 2 of the movie channels.I then master reset the box powered it down and tried the following:
-Pressed Menu and entered 1570
-Then went into CAS system- Nagravision and checked that it was set to:
N*L
Provider: 5401
Key data: A9 86 6E EA 39 EA 09 49
-EMU Key is set to ON
-Then Carried out an Auto-Scan and it found 15 channels however when I went onto the channels I seem to have them all (Sports & Movies etc)except LFC (I have that other rubbish MUTV !!)I have pressed the SL button on the remote when I am on one of the channels and the symbol rate is 6.887Msps(Is this correct for NTL MMDS).I am afraid to touch it now cause I might delete the channels......any ideas ?? Thanks for the help.

6887 is correct, dont think you can get LFC though, here is a list of frequencies and channels you should get for your area:

nope, ntl mmds dont have some setanta channels inc LFC TV (Thankfully Im a United man and they do have MUTV) :)

hello All...just got The Box T mmds, im an N*L user only can anyone pls
help me out. The box has 4.55 software on it and it wont allow me to select a cable provider like the old starview box and also there is no hidden menu view the 1 5 7 0 route. Is there anyway this box can be used on N*L by re installing and software.....

As stated above it is only for Ch***s MMDS, will not work on N**.

Hi, Newbie with the box here. Having moved from a cable area to a MMDS (NTL) I bought The Box have picked up the channel's on sc0user's list - I was just wondering if other channels may be picked up. Specifically, I was hoping to get Racing UK. This is available on NTL Cable's service but not listed on the MMDS service.
It is just a question of waiting for NTL to add Racing UK to their MMDS service before it can be found?

I have noticed tho, that Racing Uk comes in on another channel sometimes during the day, think it could be Sky Xtra or one of those channels....
Its appears during the day when the other channel isnt on until 6pm.
It could be one of the setanta channels too mind you?..
keep checking some of them...
but as already stated, you cant get Racing Uk fulltime...
maybe you cant at all, but im sure I have seen it from time to time but as i said above, on a different channel... it says Racing UK in the EPG rather then the actual channel

Thanks very much for the confirmation of what I feared.
Savic04, an RUK highlights package (one hour standard) is often shown, and repeated, on Sentanta Ireland. I will definitely keep an eye out for it popping up now and again on a differnet channel, and hope NTL add it to their MMDS service soon. It wouldnt be on a SKY channel as they are affiliated with Attheraces - Racing UK's rival.

SCOUSER CAN YOU HELP ME OUT PLEASE I have bought the box-t,i was told this box will do for my area in cork i am 7 miles from nearest transmitter, and all i need to to is get an mmds aerial on this site http://www.satandcable.co.uk/s/index.php?cPath=44 but which one do i get an all in 1 aerial with converter and power supply or do i get a mesh/dish 1 and get the converter and power supply on its own,I know some1 who will do the software on the box and fit the aerial once i get it,so would i be right in thinking once i get the aerial sorted that i dont need a contract with c****s? i only have sky in my house.
