M3 DS Real Direct Boot - play mp3 on DS startup?

I just recently purchased the M3 DS Real card and I was wondering about this Direct Boot option. I've searched the "internets" but I can't find any info as to what Direct Boot is. I was wondering if someone on the board could explain it. I'd like to have a certain mp3 startup when I turn my DS on, and I was wondering if Direct Boot can enable this.

Also wanted to say thanks to all the mods and forumers who take their time to post and create guides, etc. I've been lurking on this board for quite some time, and as a result of your posts, have educated myself quite a bit. You all deserve a big round of applause!

Got my m3real yesterday and my boot option does not work, it gives the choice of "NO" when tapped, no chance of changing to "YES".

The idea is that with "YES" it will boot to the DS menu and you can select pictochat or the m3real cartridge etc.
