Hi, I have a few questions on performance
Sometimes when I play games on my computer, and then I quit the game, the computer will start to run slower. What do I need to do to not make this happen?
Also, for some games, I have lagging issues, which is based on performance. What I notice is the bigger, more detailed maps (for example, CS SOURCE) are the ones that will run slower. I was wondering if this is a processor problem or a RAM/Grafx problem?

you should max out the ram. you'll see a better overall performance.
if you don't know what kind of ram you need, go to crucial.com and use the system scanner. it'll show the specs of your current ram, the max ammount of ram the motherboard can take, and what kind of ram you can use.

It could be a temperature problem as when you are playing game your comp is getting hotter which makes the system run slower sometime. Try and observe your temperature befor you start playing games and after..

It may be a RAM issue, but your graphics card is too weak to play new games well, so you may want to look into upgrading that too.

your processor is not too bad for now but its better to get AMD Athlon 64 5200+ 64 Bit or higher. and also increase the ram to 2 Gb.

His CPU is fine. You can run any game now with decent performance off a 4200+. 2GB of RAM, however, would be highly recommended, but the most important upgrade of all is the graphics card.

An X2 4200+ will perform almost exactly the same as an X6800 in any game, even in Crysis.
Upgrade the RAM to a 2GB dual channel kit, and get an X1950Pro.
What's killing your performance is that 7300LE. IMO one of the worst video cards made. Upgrade it, and then your RAM.

As long as you have a decent power supply (tell us which one you've got before you order), that should work fine, and will run your games 10x better than a 7300LE.

I heard the X1950 Pro is noisy and takes and needs good air flow and a good voltage and all that on your comp, how can I check to see these kind of settings for my comp because I'd like to know if this card can fit my comp well.

The X1950 Pro with the stock cooler is noisy, but the slimline Sapphire one like that isn't quite as bad. It does require you have reasonable temperatures in your PC beforehad though, and a decent power supply. What Power supply do you use currently, and what case do you have?

Where can I find out about which battery I have and my case, and all that, is there something online that can do it for me, or will I have to dig through a manual/my computer?
One more thing, I think I'm gonna go with another 2 gigs of RAM. If anyone could find me a good 2x1, 2 gigs of RAM that are compatible with my computer (specs are up top) I'd really appreciate it. (considerable budget)

Battery? which battery would this be? From the specs provided it sounds like you have a desktop PC, in which case the only battery you should have is a CMOS battery.
As for the RAM, you will need to tell us whether you use a socket 939 CPU or a socket AM2 CPU, as the two require different types of memory.

to find out the socket type, download cpu-z.
for the psu, open your sidepanel of your computer tower, and locate the psu; usually in the upper area of the case. there should be a info sticker on the side of the psu, along with the brand name.

Finding the motherboard version can be done through CPU-Z (it'll probably tell you the model number, not the socket, so you may have to google that). As for the PSU, you can only find out by looking at it yourself.

OK. By the way, socket AM2 is not 940. It may have 940 pins, but it is not the same as socket 940.

cpu-z 1.41 tells the socket type, not sure if the older version do. it's the third one on the cpu tab, under package.
off topic. sam, would doom3 be considered as a benchmark game for testing out the gfx card? i remember i installed it to play the classic doom 3 mod.
