Hey Guys,
Having major trouble with my Nano. When i plug it into any of my usb ports on my laptop all that happens is the screen on the iPod lights up! I have tried re-installing iTunes many times and i really want to update the songs on my iPod!

set the ipod for disk mode, hold the menu and center botton until ipod powers off, then imediately release menu and hold play and center botton until you see a check mark on the ipod screen. your ipod is now on recovery mode, connected to the laptop with itunes running once it shows on itunes click restore, this will refresh the software on the ipod and install any updates that are available from itunes. Good luck.

I just tried this and still nothing... could it be the usb cable?

yea it could be cause no matter what if you set your ipod to disk mode it should show on windows as a disk drive and itunes. you maight want to pick up or borrow a usb cable from a friend and see if thats the problem. i dont think is the ipod because if you can play music on it, is not faulty. so try a diffrent cable.

my mate up the road has a spair 1 I think but its only started giving me problems after i came home from holiday! maybe it got damaged in my luggage
