I have a Gateway 840GM 3.0GHZ Pentium D, 3GB of DDR2 RAM 250GB SATA HDD

I would really like to do something to make the PC run a little cooler, I recently started playing some computer games and sometimes the PC will restart in the middle of the game, I'm thinking that its restarting because its over heating. There's not really any more room to put more cooling fans or anything in there. Can anyone suggest something to help me cool it down?

Thanks

Well what are your graphics card's temps? And your cpu? Do you have a integrated card?

Have you tried 3rd party CPU heatsinks/fans: I have a aftermarket heatsink with 2 (120mm fans) attached, it dropped my temps 30*C.

yea if you have a onboard video adapter, get a graphics card, itll take the strain off the CPU and Memory. Try to get one with its own fan.

First and foremost, clean the PC of dust!

Agreed, I usually say cases are down to personal preference for new builds, but you need at least some degree of cooling.
