Have any 1 heard of this is sellin at walmart for 20 bucks it says is for music movies and some mini game that they provide you but the device look like a m3 simply it uses micro sd is there any way to make this play ds rom? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5716126

I brought this item up some time ago here and it was roundly rejected as a Bad Thing.

My guess is that although it is similiar to an R4/M3 in appearance, the firmware for this cart is going to be updated less often and appears to contain some limitations intended to prevent you from running anything you want- i.e. back up ROM's. It also appears to have a limitation on the rate of MP3 encoding, but I don't know enough to know if that is serious.

It appears to come with a 512 card, whereas the R4 comes with a 1GB card usually.

I would guess this would work, but for my money I think I would rather have a cart that will likely run anything I want it to run, would probably have it's firmware updated more often, that I know would work with a 2 GB card if I wanted it to, has less of a tone of control, and that likely has a larger support community.

Your mileage may vary.

my cousin got this, and i gotta say, it sucks.

you cannot play ds roms on it, just homebrew apps, music and videos. games that it as are like mini games like battleship.
