Yes, that is a great PSU and will even work with two GTs in SLi.

The stealthxstream will work fine, but without being cheeky, can I recommend you go with an HD3870 instead?

Thanks for the reply but there is only 18a on the +12v rails.

Which is the maximum specified limit for a multiple-rail power supply anyway.
Why is that a problem?
Besides, my PC doesn't even use 18A on the 12V, let alone for just one of its rails.

The 8800gt requires 26a on the +12v rail.

Not just from one rail, that's from all the rails combined. The 8800GT will never use anywherenear 26A (It uses about 11A at full load). The 26A figure is for a whole system. Because different parts of your PC draw on different rails, you only need 26A in total, not on each rail.
Since the Stealthxstream can provide up to 54A in total, you've got more than twice the amount of power you will ever need.

That PSU will be able to handle a pair of 8800GT cards in SLI. I hope you'll make good use of that pair as SLI is never a cost-effective strategy.

@sammorris do you have personally experience on SLi...why don't you like it that much...is it because it doesn't improve the performance that much or some other reason?...well for some people...it does improve the performance although the performance is not doubled it still improved...

My point is in what you've just written. I can't speak from personal experience as I'd never waste that much money on SLi. Overall, the gains are very rarely anywhere near 100%, and the technology still doesn't work at all in lots of brand new games. The only occasion where I feel SLi has any gain is to improve the performance of the current top-performing card. Otherwise it's far more cost-effective to buy a single, faster card. The 8800GT has made SLi somewhat more effective, but even so, when in a large number of games the SLi pair will perform the same as (or even slightly worse than) a single card, you have to think seriously about whether all that money is actually worthwhile.
