Hello,
I am using Nero 8.1.1.4.
I am using VERBATIM..TDK..MAXELL ...PHILIPS.. cd's on my plextor px760 a burner.
Allmost 50% of what i burn is unusable...Nero says burning ok but when i let it check for errors i get read errors ??
I burn at 24x speed...i can go till 48x but i prefer slower speeds on all media i use..
When i burn DVD's its ok.
When i use Ashampoo to burn my cd's everything is fine.
What is going wrong with NERO 8 ?

Please help.

I cannot give you that because Nero Locks up my pc and a reset is the only option?

I deleted the program allready.
I will ask for a refund at the shop where i bought that program.
I now use ashampoo.....Works perfect..

Media is not really specific to any one app.

Try turning down the speed at which you burn.
Seriously, 24x speed with that cheap media your using is going to give you read errors non-stop.

Try 16x or 8x, it's not a race, the slower you burn the less likely your going to have read errors.

Nero supports anything as long as there is free space on it.
Run the Nero DiscSpeed tool and run a Quality Test on the different media you are using.

Compare the read/write speeds and DAE quality and that should give you a rough idea of which one is the best.
