I was trying to write several .avi file to a DVD last night and I guess I can't figure it out. I selected the option to create a Data DVD. I then selected the file that I wanted to include. I named my DVD and click on Burn. It ended up create an image file on my hard drive but never burned anything to the DVD. What did I do wrong?

Did you run 'Nero Express' then opt for a Data DVD?

I have the Nero 7 Ultra version. Does that make a difference?

As long as you select 'Nero Express' to make a data disk and not 'Nero Vision', it makes no difference.
After loading the AVI and clicking 'Next', you select the burner (not the image recorder)

Are you talking about selecting Nero Express from the Start Menu or where?

Do you have a shortcut to 'Nero Startsmart'?When Nero installs it creates this shortcut on the desktop.

Or from 'Start' > 'All programs'
