if you got a large collection of xvid mp3 etc and would like to have a file which will index a complete list of them
then place the following line of code into a note pad file
dir /a /-p /o:gen >filelisting.txt

then save the file as anything.bat
once done place the bat file into a dir and and run the file once done look for filelisting.txt for the complete list of files in that directory

if u have dir within directorys it will not index their contends only the dir name
