depends, have you any experience in opening anything? like i have opened a laptop and cellphone before. its a little hard, because you dont want anything to snap off. i never opened a ds before though. it think you just need some tools like the screw driver for the ds, tweezers, pliers,and some patients.

well ive watch youtube of people dismantling their ds but its not actually in dept and i dont want to ruin my ds without actually knowing what to do. and ive searched wikipedia for it but its dismantling a regular ds and not a ds lite. maybe ill try and wing it? just for a green ds shell XD. do you think ebgames or gamestop would change my shell for me?

No, they would never do it for you. Its voiding your warranty. But, its not that hard really. Just go really slow and take your time. There is no rush. Once you open it, its easier to put back together.
