trouble with mp4 players

I am having trouble with the mp4 player. This is a 4gb chinese version 2nd generation. I have formated the player indicating 3.99gb. My problem is that the player will only play the first 15-20 songs. After that the screen indicates format error. The player folder indicates that the songs are on the player however will not play. Any Suggestions?

It is a generic mp4. I am downloading mp3 music. All the songs will download but again only the first 15-20 will play. The format that plays is not differnt then the ones that do not play. I have mixed the songs up and it does not matter which 15-20 songs are downloaded first they are the only ones that play. firmware version IS91B11, AK1025LKDV30, 9.1.52 I hope this helps. Thanks for your help.
