Ive just strated using emule version 30d. My download speeds seem to be very slow compared to the speeds some of you have posted, usually around 5kbps. My connection speed is 288 upload and 576 download. Are my slow dwnloads due to the fact I am new and havent got many credit points yet or is there some other promblem. Can anyone please help

If you hold on to all the files you d/l and share them 24/7, and download a decent amount of files, especially popular ones, you'll be good in a couple weeks. There are lots of tips on how to get the most out of it in Dela's eMule tutorial, a sticky in this forum, and I recommend sweating out all the pages of it if you really want to know all the practical stuff there is to know, as most questions about eMule have been covered in that thread before. Everyone starts out slow, but those who tough it out are inevitably rewarded. Good luck!

i have no idea bout the server list, i just look for the ones with higher users and files. i try and download files but they dont start and when they do they go slow. i suposedly have a 1mb connection or something like that. ive tried downoading the better servers, changing the ip address, i cannot find the bit to turn off or change the firewall settings.????
