errors extracting .rar files

good morning.

i have another question about burning games.

i finally understand the whole spiel about
how to handle .rar files and such.

BUT,
one problem will always be replaced with another.

i dled ninja gaiden black from usenet
and when i extract using winrar,
i first got two errors for two .rar files:
'unexpected end of archive.'
so, i redownloaded all of it, proceeded to extracting,
and got two errors for the same to .rar files. this time, though,
the error is :
'package CRC failed in ngb.iso. volume is corrupt'

the heck is going on? was this a crappy download to begin with?
i sure hope not, since this is practically
the only ninja gaiden dl up on usenet.
*sad*

any help will be appreciated.
