Nero 7 Ultra burning without Audio? Help Please!!

I have a problem with the Ultra 7 I just got. I have been burning for quite awhile with Nero 6 but some of the AVI files I came across needed the multi channel, so I got Ultra to aleveate this problem it was supposed to have the needed plug in. I actually like this version better but am still getting no audio with some AVI files, but there is no error message anymore to even warn me. I have been working on this for a couple of weeks and am at my wits end :-( Is there another format I can convert it to? I have Apex Converter if anyone knows if that'll work. I don't get it-it should have worked! Thanks for the help, Sorry I felt the need to vent a little too.

I dont know about Apex Converter, but DVDFick will do the job properly:
