Win AVi - Keeping the aspect ratio

Hi

Will Winavi retain the aspect ratio for a film if I put it on an ipod or if the initial film is 640*250 and the ipod 320*240 could I lose some of the picture after converting?

I am a newb, please forgive me.

I have use win avi in the past and i do get a decent picture on the ipod, i however found that i get a better picture quality when i use videora or even dvdfab platinum. so to answer the question, you dont loose non of your pic aspect, is just re-coded to fit the ipod resolution scheme.

I've read Videora giving sync problems. Have you not found this to be the case?
