PSP not staying on

I am running 3.71 m33-2. My PSP power is not staying on. I charge the battery fully and when I take the charger out it shuts off completely. I tried other batteriers from 2 friend psp's and still the same thing.

Any suggestions?

Update:

just updated to m33-4 still not working. I checked the BATTERY INFORMATION and the PSP is not giving me that info, in other words it's not reading the battery status.

Sounds like a bad battery. Your EEPROM may have been missing or corrupted for some reason, probably putting the PSP out of sync or communication with the battery. Just get a new one.

I tried switching the battery, actually 2 from my friends and still the same thing.

FYI, I used the PSP to make a pandora battery and a MS. This was over a month ago before the problem started (which was 2 days ago)ocurring. I am not using the same battery either.

This is what it says when i click the system-battery information:

It does this on every battery that I use, still it would not stay on

It also displays at the top a fully charged battery bar. Though when I remove the charger with the battery still inside, the PSP turns off. Also when the PSP is off and the battery and charger are connected to it the PSP show the orange light as if it is charging.
