im about to buy a ds lite, and i want to know ,what you need to play games downloaded by torrents..and what kind of memory card do you need for the ds

do you need a custom frimware like on the PSP to play isos ??
is there anything i should be careful bout when im buying a DS lite in europe?

No custom Firmware. You just need a flash cart such as the R4 DS, M3 Simply, M3 Real, DS TT, etc. There are quite a few and they all get the job done.

Some flash carts have internal memory while most others use Mico SD cards. Some flash carts such as the M3 Real and DS TT support SDHC Mirco SD cards while others such as the R4 DS and M3 Simply can't use SDHC Micro SD cards.

If you want to play GBA games you'll need a slot 2 device. The cheapest Slot 2 device that is commonly found is the EZ Flash 1-3, but it can be a pain in the ass if you don't know what you are doing so read some of the guides that are found around here.

Even before ordering a slot 1 flash cart I recommend that you read some guides and threads before making a purchase.

i dont need a gba emu on the ds,have one on my psp and it works fine.
