"If you use an iPod classic 6G, iPod nano 3G, iPod touch 1G or an iPhone with firmware 1.1.1 or later, you can ignore this post.

If you use an iPod 5G, an iPhone running old firmware (1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2) or you use Videora iPod Converter to create iPod videos that are playable on every video iPod, please read this post closely.

Changes to VGA H.264 (640x480) Support
The software will no longer add Apple?s H.264 VGA flag to the videos intended for the iPods that don?t need it. This will help cut down overall conversion time and reduce expensive space requirements.

Unfortunately, Apple?s H.264 VGA flag is still required to play H.264 VGA files on the iPod 5G (5th Generation) and iPhones running firmware 1.0.0, 1.0.1 or 1.0.2. Videora iPod Converter will properly add this flag, provided you tell the software you are converting video for the 5th generation iPod when you first run the software.

iPod 5G Users
When you run Videora iPod Converter for the first time, you will be asked to choose which iPod you are converting videos for. You MUST choose iPod 5G (5th Generation). If you choose any other iPod and try to convert VGA videos, iTunes will not let you put your converted videos on your 5G iPod.

iPhone Old Firmware (1.0.0, 1.0.1, 1.0.2) Users
First we highly recommend that you upgrade your iPhone to the latest version so you get all the latest application and security updates. If you refuse to use newer firmware you will have to use the following workaround to get VGA video on your iPhone.

When you run Videora iPhone Converter for the first time, you will be asked to choose which iPod you are converting videos for. You MUST choose iPod 5G (5th Generation). Do not choose the iPhone. If you choose the iPhone and try to convert VGA videos, iTunes may not let you put your converted videos on your iPhone.

Yes this is convoluted, but that?s what you get for not using newer firmware. Since the vast majority of users are using an iPhone with at least 1.1.1 or greater, this is only an issue for the 10 of you left on older firmware.

Users who want to create H.264 VGA videos that work on ALL iPods
When you run Videora iPod Converter for the first time, you will be asked to choose which iPod you are converting videos for. You MUST choose iPod 5G (5th Generation). If you choose any other iPod and convert VGA videos, then these videos will not work on 5G iPods and iPhones with old firmware. "

So please people. don't make the update. I made the mistake of converting Jackass 2.5 and wondering why it wouldn't sync on my ipod. I don't like wasting my time and nether do you people with their downloads.
