Well pointing out the obvious....if the HD version has no sound then it may not have any ripped with it.....
However if it has 'DTS' and you just ripped the movie with 'DTS', unless you have a decoder, you will not have any sound....even though the stream is there....
re-rip and include ALL the audio and see if it is there then........
...............PIO is no go, DMA all the way...............

Use some different software like CloneDVD, DVD Shrink etc. This might help you get the correct audio, either 6 Channel (5.1) or DTS (Needs a seperate decoder).

I have used DVD Shrink and still have no audio. I had left all audio in.
I have also tryed with DVD Decrypter and then DVD2One.
If I need a seperate decoder what is it that I actually need?
Thanx in advance

I think you are going to have to post your exact method so we can see where the problem lies......
If it has audio ripped, and you retained ALL audio then the audio should still be there.....
Can you scroll through the audio within powerdvd when playing the files from the HD, and does this then produce audio....it maybe that the DTS has become the default...I would be surprised if this is the case cos DTS is not normally the default stream.......AC3 5.1 or AC3 2ch is.....
Also are your speakers or other output devices connected AND working properly......

Quote: I have used DVD Shrink and still have no audio
Do you have the option to choose AC3 (2 channel) using DVD Shrink? If so enable AC3 (2 channel) and burn with your favorite dvd burning software m8. I read a post where a member was having troubles with no audio playback backing up the dvd movie "Steel Magnolias". It was recommended the member to enable AC3 (2 channel) and the backup played flawlessy, with sound on his home dvd player\pc. Just a suggestion m8.
